1951 born in Munich

1969/75 Studies art at the Akademie für Bildende Künste (Academy of Fine Arts), Munich. Furthermore he studies history of art and philosophy at university of Munich.

1975/76 Scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAAD) in Paris

1979 Städtische Galerie at the Lenbachhaus, Kunstforum München (Munich Art Forum)

1980 Villa Romana scholarship, Florence

1981 Initiates the widely acknowledged exhibition of contemporary german artists entitled “Rundschau Deutschland³ shown in Munich and Cologne

1984/88 Metamorphoses, Glyptothek and Staatliche Antikensammlung (State Antique Collection), Munich

1989 Publishes the monthly art magazine "Maler über Malerei" (Painter and Painting)

1990 First visit to the carribbean islands of Barbados und Jamaica

1994 Moves into his New York studio on Warren Street 12

1995 Initiates the "Lindencorso Kunstprojekt Berlin"

1996 Receives the "Internationaler Senefelder Preis", a prize for printmaking.

1998 Stays in Murano in order to learn how to do glass sculptures. Travels to Israel. Beginning of a series of art projects for the Kempinski group of hotels.

2000 Initiates the "Living Planet Project" for the world exposition EXPO in Hannover. Beginning of the shooting of a documentary on his work directed by Curt Faudon.

2001 Moves into his studio in Les Mas des Palmiers in St. Tropez, France where he now spends most of his time.

2002 "Szczesny - the Film" (Director Curt Faudon New York) has its first release at the Film Festival in Cannes, France.

2003/04 Starts to work on ceramic sculptures for the project "Villa Soleil" at Terre Blanche in Tourettes, France.

2005 Starts to work on an art project for the "Le Roc" in Roquebrune sur Argens, France
