Emil Nolde Museum:

The 66th annual exhibition at Seebüll invites you to the magical theme "Silent Worlds": vast landscapes, profound seas, haunting portraits and enchanted still lifes open up a new view of Emil Nolde's oeuvre. We show a facet that has received little attention to date, namely works that radiate a romantic mood. The exhibition celebrates the great magician of color who said of himself, "Color guided me." Highlights from all creative periods are on display: a rich selection of paintings, including the rarely shown triptychs "Martyrium" and "Harmony of Opposites," as well as watercolors, drawings and prints.
