Studied at the University of California in Berkeley and Santa Barbara and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in English literature.

1961-1964

Studied at Yale University in New Haven/Connecticut, graduating with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Fine Arts.

1964-1965

One-year stay in Paris

1966

One-year stay in Florence and first solo exhibition at the Galleria La Salita in Rome

Begins to work with industrial materials

Travelled to Japan and took part in the Tokyo Biennale
