Cornelius Völker (*1965) studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy from 1989 to 1995. He lives and works in Düsseldorf. Völker develops powerful, figurative paintings in which realism and a complex handling of color form an independent pictorial language. In his paintings, familiar objects appear in a new light. As precise as inventive, surprising facets are exposed.
