Formation of “Die Blaue Vier” (the Blue Four) in conjunction with Alexej von Jawlensky, Paul Klee and Wassily Kandinsky

Escape from the Nationals Socialists to New York. 400 of Feininger’s artworks were seized and defamed as “degenerate”

1947

President of the “Federation of American Painters and Sculptors”
