Ruprecht Geiger is born on the 26th of January in Munich

Architectural studies at the Munich Kunstgewerbeschule as disciple of Eduard Pfeiffer

Architectural studies at the Munich Staatsbauschule

1940-1944

Military service at the eastern front in Poland and Russia; from 1943 on, deployment as a war painter in Ukraine and, from 1944 onwards, in Greece; autodidactic studies in war diaries and first egg tempera-paintings

Co-founder of the artist group ZEN 49
