ART FOR HAPPINESS

Our annual charity exhibition “Art for Happiness” is dedicated to celebrating the connection between art and the joy of life. This year, we once again present a carefully curated selection of expressive and diverse prints by our artists.

We warmly invite you and your friends to experience the exhibition from 21 November through 23 December 2025.

You can look forward, among other things, to Josef Albers’s vibrant color-saturated squares, Klaus Fußmann’s floral linocuts, Winfred Gaul’s abstract serigraphs, exciting new works by Alex Katz, as well as recurring, familiar motifs by Karin Kneffel. Particular highlights of this edition include the Pop Art icon Shipboard Girl by Roy Lichtenstein in excellent condition, as well as a hand-colored etching by Konrad Klapheck. In addition, we are presenting the complete portfolio of the Modulation series with ten luminous works by Rupprecht Geiger, along with an eight-part portfolio of etchings by Serge Poliakoff that transforms Plato’s dialogue Parmenides into a poetic interplay between literature and art.

For six years now, this exhibition has pursued a central mission: to make art tangible while doing good at the same time. In 2025, with your support and through your art purchases, we aim to support the Friends’ Association of the Interdisciplinary Center for Palliative Medicine at the University Hospital of Düsseldorf. The focus of this essential work lies in preserving the quality of life and independence of people with severe illnesses. The interdisciplinary team cares for patients at home, in nursing facilities, in the palliative care unit, on an outpatient basis, and across all wards of the university hospital. The Friends’ Association also enables additional offerings such as animal-assisted and music therapy, support for families with children, as well as the thoughtful design of the palliative garden.

As in previous years, we will donate 10% of the net proceeds from all sales. This amount will go to the Friends’ Association of the Interdisciplinary Center for Palliative Medicine at the University Hospital of Düsseldorf.

We warmly invite you to explore our catalogue and the exhibition to discover new artistic impulses—and to bring joy both to yourself and to others.
