The end of the year is fast approaching and with it our charity exhibition Art for Happiness, which we have been able to realise for the fourth year in a row thanks to your support.
It is a matter close to our hearts to motivate you to purchase a print from our exhibition again this year, as we will once again be donating 10% of total sales to a charitable project.
Due to current events, we will be working with you to support the "Bridging the Gap" project of the Verein zur Förderung des Israel Museums in Jerusalem e.V. (Association for the Promotion of the Israel Museum in Jerusalem).
With your donation, you are not helping to support the museum, but we are pursuing a higher mission with our commitment - namely bringing together Jewish-Israeli and Palestinian children.
The "Bridging the Gap" project was initiated almost 30 years ago and is literally more than just a project; it is a bridge of understanding and cohesion in a region where historical and cultural differences have often led to tensions and continue to do so in the cruellest of ways.
The idea of connecting children through art, culture and education is a shining example of the transformative power of community and co-operation. Even if the escalation of terrorism in the region cannot be avoided, this project makes a very visible and exemplary contribution to cultural understanding within Israel. The Israel Museum in Jerusalem stands for diversity and unity, and this project is a living example of these values. Through your generous support, you are helping to strengthen this bridge and give children the opportunity to make friends and develop understanding for each other across cultural boundaries.
We live in a time when the cohesion of humanity is of vital importance. By taking part in this fundraising campaign, you are setting an example for peace, tolerance and belief in the positive change that can be created through education and cultural exchange.
